BARRIER FREE LOGROÑO. RIOJA. ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE

The "Logroño Sin Barreras" organization has recently launched an accessibility guide featuring facilities in over 518 public and private buildings in the city, which is available in their website.

This is a city rich in history and traditions which have been preserved since the Middle Ages. The Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela made this one of the most important towns on the route, leaving an interesting monumental legacy closely linked to the traditional passing of the pilgrims.

The city is the seat of the Designation of Origin Control Board, which plays a key part in the complex machinery of the wine sector in the region. Logroño's strategic geographic situation makes it the ideal place for visiting this world-famous wine region.

After having worked in the guide since January 2006 they have completed and launched an accessibility guide-book featuring facilities in over 518 public and private buildings in the city, which, in addition to the printed version, is available in their website.

The texts in the guide are written just in Spanish , but icons might be very helpful for those visiting the city (info about facilities for deaf and/or visually impaired people is provided by icons, too).
